Well we are almost there. I am never moving again! After eight years at our old location, we filled two dumpsters and still had tons to move. Almost all of our displays are in, and look great. Just a couple more pairs of draperies lagging behind. We still have a lot of organizing to do in the library area, but that should get done this week.

My “Shrine to Shutters” looks great in a nice living room setting. More shutters to come for the front window along with a pair of draperies for the front window under the Oak Cornice. When the new displays come in we will have 29 unique shutter displays.

The Hunter Douglas displas are set off alone in backlit display cases. 27 different blinds, shades and shutters are on display in the area to the left as you come in the showroom. The Luminette in the front window is absolutely gorgeous in the morning with the sunlight refrated by the sheer fabric.

The new Solera shade is really a beautiful and innovative treatment. It combines the soft beauty of a roman shade with the insulating properties of honeycomb shades. Available with a continus cord or cordless. As we just became the only certified Hunter Douglas Motorization Specialists in New Hampshire, we will be adding four more displays that will have hard-wire motorization.

We also have a number of products on display from other vendors. Several different kinds of draperies (two of them motorized by Somfy), a number of valances, roman shades and the hottest trend right now; roller shades. In each of these windows we have two of the same type of shade, one manual and one motorized. We have a solar powered motor, as well as battery operated, standard 110v and a quiet radio motor. All in all, we have over one hundred unique displays, fourteen of which are automated.

One of the reasons for all of the motorized treatments is child safety. Out of all of our displays, only one has an old fashioned cordlock. Most are cordless or have retractable cords. October is Child Safety Month.

More pictures to come. I hope everyone stops by to say hello and check out the new space. And keep an eye out for our Gand Opening in October.
